The IDF flew a delegation of 260 personnel to assist in search and rescue operations after the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit last Saturday. Their field hospital, set up in Kathmandu, has treated over 200 victims and delivered three babies so far. The Israeli delegation is the second largest aid team sent by any other country to assist with relief efforts.

Meanwhile, Israeli rescue units are still looking for Or Asraf, the Israeli citizen still unaccounted for. Asraf was last seen in the Langtang area when the earthquake struck. His father flew out on Thursday to help with the search. More

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced on Thursday that Israel would assist in rebuilding homes and infrastructure of an entire village as part of its long-term relief efforts. "After consulting with various departments in the Foreign Ministry, we decided to adopt a village in Nepal, to assist with its reconstruction and to do our utmost to help people who have really found themselves in a difficult situation,” Lieberman said, the Times of Israel reported.

Right now, thousands of people are without food, water, shelter, and hope. You can help. 100% of your donation will go to humanitarian aid efforts in Nepal. Donate to the Nepal Relief Fund.
