NextGen OC is the young adult department of Jewish Federation & Family Services. It is dedicated to building an inclusive and connected community for Jewish young adults ages 21-45. With NextGen, you'll find opportunities to grow your Jewish identity and build Jewish community through fun and meaningful volunteer, social, educational, and philanthropic activities.
Get involved with NextGen OC and see what exciting things we have in store!
NextGen and the Rose Project invite you to be a part of a special iEngage learning group for young adults (ages 21-45). Join us as we come together to explore the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the lens of Jewish values. Once a strong uniting force for Jews around the world, Israel, and this conflict in particular, are now dividing us. By exploring the Jewish values that underlie diverse political views on the conflict, we will build skills that allow us to disagree with civility and empathy and stay in community despite our differences – skills that can be applied to a multitude of other issues facing us today.
This program is part of OC iEngage, a community learning initiative powered by a partnership between the Rose Project of JFFS and the Shalom Hartman Institute, one of the leading centers of Jewish thought and education.

Let’s start the weekend early! Join NextGen once a month at a local hangout spot and enjoy a fun, relaxing time, and get to know other Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s.
Come together monthly to learn and dialogue over various interpretations of Jewish tradition and text in a relaxed environment. Every month a different rabbi from the community will lead a dynamic discussion. The goal is a fun and safe space to learn, make friends, and try something Jew-“ish.”
An exclusive leadership development cohort for young adults!
The Mentorship Initiative is a unique combination of networking, leadership development, and one-on-one mentorship through a formal learning process based in Jewish values and relationship-building within the OC Jewish community. This is an exclusive opportunity in 2020 for budding leaders in the young adult Jewish community. As a member of the cohort, mentees will be paired with esteemed, local Jewish professionals for one-on-one mentoring and participate in four Mentorship Initiative events throughout the year. Applications are open NOW - January 3!
Honeymoon Israel provides immersive trips to Israel for couples that have at least one Jewish partner and are early in their committed relationship. The program seeks to create communities of couples who are building families with deep and meaningful connections to Jewish life and the Jewish people. Application is closed for 2020, but check back next year! For more information, click here.
JFFS Families / PJ Library OC connects Jewish families with children to each other and to Jewish Life through books, events, music and more! In addition to sending your child a FREE Jewish book each month through the JFFS PJ Library OC program, throughout the year we gather for special programs where you and your kids can meet new friends, celebrate Jewish holidays and have fun!
