Part two of CSP Artist-in-Residence Three-part Mini-Series in Memory of Bobbi Cherry
People of the Book/Artist's Books
Jews have had a connection to books and the recorded word since 920 CE. Andi Arnovitz will present 24 different artists books that she has created, ranging in topics from Iran's nuclear proliferation to the Oslo accords, to a mother's fervent prayer for her children. Challenging the commonly held understanding of what a book is, she will show how an artist's book can be interactive and is both art and book. Arnovitz's books are in the collections of the US Library of Congress, the Israel National Library, Yale University and USC to name but a few.
