Laguna Woods Region presents the 16th annual Midsummer Social on Monday, August 2nd (7-9pm in Clubhouse 5) to welcome newcomers to Laguna Woods, to reconnect with old friends, and to celebrate summer! The evening features wonderful entertainment by Larry Mauer and delicious refreshments. All are welcome; there is no admission charge and no solicitation of funds.
Entertainer Larry Mauer presents a fascinating program, “Jewish Song Writers and American Popular Music." Mauer has always had a passion for the history of American music. Although he has worked in finance for over 30 years as a CPA and accounting professor, his calling has always been to teach music history. He founded the Timeless Melodies Foundation for Education Inc. to present colorful, memorable, and multi-media programs about the Golden Age of American music.

Friends in Need Rely On You
It takes every one of us, giving what we can, to ensure that every Jew in need will have counseling, comfort, food, clothing, shelter, education and the spiritual uplift that comes with knowing they can count on Jewish Federation & Family Services. They can count on JFFS because we can count on you.

Laguna Woods Region: About Us
Some 2,000 Jewish households make up our Jewish community. The Federation's Laguna Woods Region provides a link between our local Jewish Laguna Woods family and the broader Orange County Jewish community. The Laguna Woods Region Board represents Jewish Federation and provides a local rallying point for Federation and Jewish community activities.
The Laguna Woods Region plays a vital role in the Federation's Generations Fund (formerly known as the Annual Campaign). Each year, Laguna Woods Region raises more than a quarter of a million dollars. Over 700 residents of the retirement community participate in the Generations Fund and enjoy a variety of Federation-sponsored programs.
The Jewish Federation Laguna Woods Region Committee is pleased to be part of the Laguna Woods community. Whether you have recently arrived in our community, or are new to the area, we are delighted to know you're here.
