A Call for Partners
06/27/2007
Israel celebrates its 60th birthday in 2008, and Jewish Orange County will celebrate this great milestone with a broad range of exciting community activities! As your living bridge* between Israel and Orange County, Jewish Federation wants to assist you -- our Community Partners, organizations and congregations -- in bringing your Israel-themed events and programs to the attention of the widest possible audience.
We are now creating a comprehensive Israel@60 mini-site to help publicize all community programs and events honoring Israel's special year. What do you have to do, to be a partner?
* Post your Israel@60-themed event(s) on the Community Calendar Online! The online calendar will be our central information resource for preparing the Israel@60 mini-site, and all related public information. Not sure how to post your event? Click here for easy instructions! As you fill out the online event form, please begin your event description with the phrase Israel@60 to identify your event as part of the celebration. Click here to post your event now!
* Join in the planning of our community's largest Israel@60 celebration: Israel Expo 2008, which will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Samueli Jewish Campus. More details will be available soon; meanwhile, to ensure a successful community celebration, we need every voice at the table, and a lot of volunteers. Email Hagit@jfoc.org now to register your interest.
*Living bridge programs of our community include our Partnership with Kiryat Malachi and Ashkelon Coast; volunteer programs in Israel; Federation-sponsored community, family, young leadership and business missions to Israel; congregational, organizational and individual missions to Israel; teen and young adult Israel experiences such as Taglit-birthright israel, TIES and the annual TVT Poland/Israel journey; Israel advocacy programs; Israeli Scouts; Israeli cultural programs (art, music, dance, film), holiday observances and educational encounters (guest scholars, Merage Fellows); and Israel Expo.
